This collection took my breath away from the first look that walked on the red runway carpet to the last, I was in awe of such beautiful pieces. Royalty will be the word to describe this collection held at the Palais Brongniart in Paris. In a sea of ruby-red, emerald-green, sapphire and metallic.
Saab’s focus point was on the embroideries that were meticulously and endlessly worked to adorn each pieces and gave them the wow factor.
As expected, I was not disappointed by the man known to be a favorite for many Hollywood starlets during award season. I have the feeling that this time around, many Hollywood stylists will do their best to snatch some of his dresses for their biggest clients.
The gowns were red carpet ready and were lavishing in opulence with sequences and beads. It was chic, elegant and not too over the top. In doing just that, Saab gest a thumb up from me. Well done!
Emerging designer Misha Nonoo gave us a bit of vacation prep as she rolled out her resort collection for 2014. Of course I enjoyed her mix of color and print, additionally some of these pieces can be transitioned to fall. I also liked the clever use of Adidas slippers and sneakers paired with some of the dressier silhouettes. Considering that this young designer just debuted her first collection in 2011, it seems that she has a long designing career ahead of her.
Here at Sereine Magazine, Leah and I are big fans of Japanese designer Tsumori Chisato’s bold prints and fusion of French and Japanese culture that has become her signature look and sets her apart from other designers.
Leah and I recently attended an event in her honor in New York and it was a pleasure for us to finally meet her and her wonderful team.
Mr. Roberto Cavalli’s nickname, the print master is very appropriate because he knows how to make anyone looks good in prints. His dresses are beautiful, bouncy, flowy or sexy like this cut out number above, making them ideal for a nice vacation on the French Riviera or in the Caribbean.
Love the embellishments on this evening gown.
Day dresses are just as beautiful as the evening ones and so bohemian chic
If dresses are not your thing these bold print suits might be just what you need this summer.
For having attended a few of Reem Acra’s fashion shows in the past, I have to say that her dresses always make me think of the Oscars and red carpet events.
What makes this collection stand out are the embellishments that are pretty much on most of the dresses whether on cap sleeves or bodice as seen below.
This embroidered gold collar sewn on the neckline of this black gown below screams opulence worthy of any Russian tsar.
Reem is also a wedding designer and we know that summer is usually wedding season for many women looking for the perfect dress for themselves and their wedding party. These lace numbers in bright colors will add charm and elegance to any wedding party.
More embellishments and opulence
The graphic black and white lace on some of the day shift dresses will bring elegance to luncheons, tea parties and other day events.
Loving the tulle dresses below. Seriously! I want to be bride
What sealed the deal for me was this masterpiece white dress with embroidered gold color and cinched at the waist which is my favorite pieces of this collection. This dress will be perfect to dance the night away right after taking off the wedding gown.
There is something super special about this collection that I adore, the pattern mixing and the demure necklines with just enough sex appeal mixed in. A+O gave us some great vacation/lady who lunch looks for their resort wear line, let’s dive into it….
A dope pair of shoes can take any outfit to the next level.
There is something about these 70’s flower child pants I love.
This is a great look for work and drinks after hours.
Matching your bag to your shoes in this day and age is never ok, but matching your bag to your dress? I’m digging it.
I would never think to pair laceup booties with a dress so delicate, but it totally works!
For her resort 14 collection, fashion designer Wayne Lee opted for a wardrobe that incorporates fall pieces that are light, not to serious and that women can take with them on vacation. She told Style, com, “I always want it to be less serious than fall, pieces you could really wear on vacation.”
Indeed! This collection is a mix of summer and fall pieces that will make the transition between these seasons easier for fashionistas when the warmer days will make room for cooler ones, as seen below with a bomber jacket over a skater skirt .Flowy and bouncy skater skirts/dresses are everywhere this year. They are so popular and it seems that this trend will go beyond summer.
Colors are bright but also toned down for fall with black leather and sheer panel as seen on one of the looks below.
What’s not to love about Milly’s Resort 14 collection. I can already see throngs of new fans flocking to this designer to get their hands on some of her resort pieces.
Designer Michelle Smith knows how to make a woman feel elegant, chic, modern and feminine, and that is what she did for her latest collection. The colors are bright and the clothes are fun to watch and to wear. From day and sporty ensembles below
To sexy knit dresses
This collection is gorgeous and offers so many options that will resonate with many young women looking for something classy, chic and elegant to brighten their summer vacation, endless parties and nights on the town.
The bohemian inspired collection for Moshino cheap and chic resort 14 collection embodies what summer is all about, maxi dresses, baby dolls, tie dye tees, pants and dresses worthy of Coachella and music festival lovers.
I see Lauren Conrad, Solange, Beyoncé, Nicole Riche and even stylist turned designer Rachel Zoe who lives for 1960s fashion in one of these garments.
If the cheap and chic tag accompanying this resort collection is indicator of a more affordable price range for this resort collection, I expect tons of fashionistas rocking Moshino this summer because after all, pretty much of all us love a good bargain.
Any thoughts on this collection? Skip it or must-have!Photos:Style.com
Tory Burch’s resort 14 collection has a little bit of everything that will please fashionistas looking to diversify their wardrobe. I was personally very found of the floral prints which I think made this collection romantic and youthful. Aren’t these two looks below gorgeous!
Because resort is about vacation and exotic destinations, Burch found some of her inspiration in North Africa, notably Morocco’s rich culture as seen on the intricate designs on the tunics, shorts and some of the bags below.
This collection is so versatile and offers so many options that whatever your sartorial taste is your options are not limited. Short/long, the choice is yours.
For her Clover Canyon resort 14 collection, designer Rozae Nichols was inspired by Cuba’s rich and vibrant culture of Caddy cars, cigars, tropical fruit and more which images can be seen on many of her graphic tees and sweatshirts.
Nichols chose a vibrant print pattern and kept the styling to a minimum to showcase the clothes, and indeed the print in itself is enough to make her pieces stand alone and grab your attention.
From A-line dresses
Sporty silhouettes as seen with the bomber jackets, shorts and pants were feminine and elegant.
The flamenco ruffles, flouncy hemlines and fluttering sleeves are definitely adding some Spanish element that are aslo a part of Cuba’s rich heritage.
I can think of celebrities like Solange Knowles, her big sister Beyonce and fans like myself who live for printed frocks. I am definitetly a fan of this resort 14 collection.
